Literature Text

Once there was a princess
With red golden hair
Smart and able
She was quite fair

At two she was betrothed
Someday she'd be queen
But alas, her prince
He died at sixteen

The story does not end
This prince had a brother
And smitten with her beauty
This boy wanted no other

He made her his queen
He played his part
He was her young king
He was "Sir Loyal Heart"

Now fairy tales like this
Dark eyes can erase
When that loyal heart changes
For a new pretty face

The mistress took control
What power she wielded
The princess's throne lost
Her jewels sadly yielded

"Sir False Heart"
With tears she pleaded
His love had gone cold
Her prayers went unheeded

Locked away in a castle
Her story well known
Her heart was broken
Our princess died alone.
Having urgent work that needs to be completed is the best time for inspiration to hit and distract me.......

Katherine of Aragon was the first in a long line of tragic queens belonging to the English.
