A good fictional book with Anne of Cleves is "The Boleyn Inheritance" by Philippa Gregory. I personally love Alison Weir's biography on the six wives. As for George Boleyn, I personally don't know of any books, other than Gregory's "Other Boleyn Girl" where he gets more attention. Laurien Gardner's "Plain Jane", I've heard, is good too. To be honest, I haven't read that yet so its not a recommendation as much as it is a suggestion.
I personally like Katherine of Aragon the most, and of course Anne Boleyn is a close second. I honestly can't remember when I started my obsession with the Tudors. But it's been years. I recommend Alison Weir's biography on the six wives. Very, very detailed. For historic fiction, Margaret George's Henry VIII autobiography is great too.
i would like to know if there are any books you would recommend involving the tudors? i am mostly interested in george boleyn, jane seymour, and anne of cleves.
I'm reading a Jeff Lindsay book at the moment; Darkly Dreaming Dexter. Waaaaayyyyyy out of my usual reading but my friend wanted to see what I thought.

Hehe, yeah. I wasn't fond of Henry's french-looking beard either, but Charles Broandon looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!! Catherine Howard...oh that'll be great, but I will miss Anne SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

wow, not loving the beard. from far away he really looks like joseph fiennes with that beard. well at least we'll have natalie dormer through second season. but if they decide to go beyond jane seymour, a relationship that doesn't last too long, jonathan rhys meyers is gonna have to gain some weight. anne of cleves would be a nice addition, although perhaps not too much interest to an audience obsessed with raunchy love scenes. but with the latter in mind, i'm sure showtime writers would have a really fun time with catherine howard.
if they do it'll be more reason for me to watch it. i love kate winslet. i never would've thought of her as jane seymour, but then again remembering her playing ophelia in kenneth branaugh's Hamlet, she would probably fit the role rather well, although i hope she goes blonde for the role. they really should have at least one character that accurately physically resembles their historical reference. lol
Well, some movies are much longer than 2 hours (POTC3, 3hrs/some minutes) so I think they'll cut off several parts that aren't that important but won't fail with the big sex scenes and stuff
P.S.- I hear they are gonna cast Kate Winslet as Jane Seymour in season 2!!! I'm gonna hate that season yet love it LOL

Yeah, I was unsure about Eric Bana, but nevertheless, I really want to see it. I'm still reading the book, and we all know they will skip a few parts of the book (er...pet-peeve)
---- -That's ME!
hey there. yeah i heard about the movie a bit ago, and i'm just really undecided on it. it feels like it was casted wrong. eric bana as henry viii? henry was a golden boy. i've looked at the very few production photos they have out, and it seems to lack the passions of the tudors. the book itself isn't that bad.

I love you appreciation for the Tudors. -glomps your icon-
